Celebrating 21st C Media we the peoples need
When youth turn up at Danone Communities 3000 person celebrtion of genius economist muhammad yunus at the Grand Rex in Paris, it feels as if all
of France is collaborating in the exciting spirit of social business and 2010's joy of microentrepreneurial
job creation. Moreover, the night before government has run its own 2000 meeting prizing small and medium
enterprises across rural france -so it is that the 210 year french DNA of entrepreneurship is being liberated;
Olivier Maurel , chief host of DC, makes a logo board centre stage sharing danone's famous brand name
with pssionate social business leaders and youth networks and the great causes linked to goals youth want for 2020; leaders joyfully talk of yunus as the person of our epoch; the French daily newspaper Liberation publishes a special
issue with a yunus story on every page; the youth audience twitters in (and around the nation) previously censored questions
to the famous people on stage -eg one child dies every 5 minutes of hunger - are any of you responsible if not who is?
NO YOUTH WHO HAS EXPERIENCED DANONE COMMUNITY EVER NEEDS TO VALUE TV SPOTS AGAIN- no coke executive experiencing danone
community would ever again waste money trying to image over "I would like to teach the world to sing in perfect
harmony" when youth networks can be empowered to just do it;
MEDIAS ECONOMICS
before Grameen
became the world's most valued brnd, Lux was in poor muslim womens world; my book brand chartering explains how we replaced
expensive tv ads with free radio sing songs enabling youthful women who radioed in to have their own minutes of
stardom - the world's biggest ad gency was quite pissed off with me for demonstrating this but actually that's
the greatest compliment I can recall from 34 years of work of mathemtical models of media (which I learnt to do from
professors at MIT and by practising out of our global brand lab and social needs datbase assembled through the 1980s located
in Courbevoie Paris!)
TV spots along with credit cards figure among the 5 greatest system traps spun
by so-called developed nations of the second half of the 20th century; they are tools of macroeconomists hired by the
big get bigger and the speculative get more volatile -the one way to make killing on old stockmarkets is to know you
are bubbling up something bound to collapse- that is what wall street of 2000s rewards itself for; macroeconomists are
those whose job is to make the peoples main street and global villages more costly so that only the Orwellian big
get bigger rules the world; (2012 will not only be london's celebration of sustainability olympics and queen elizabeth's
swan song, more technically it will be the 50th year since my father's book (Sunshades in October) on how the folie grandeur
of elderly macroeconomists compound the greatest risk on the health and wealth of next generations - for 145
years The Economist preserved the scottish rule that journalists of economics must never feel themselves to be gurus or wish
to be famous personalities
The unacknowledged
giant
and as dad www.worldeconomist.net pointed out in his entrepreneurial revolution trilogy (1976-1984) both destroyed the hi-trust reasoning that Adam
Smith free markets (including all micro economics that strives to sustain economical progress in every community) was
based on.
Danone community is a media and mediation process that does good and innovates, unlike tv spots
that spiral images that nag, self-gratify and dumb down and devalue productivity sourced openly in family knowledge -
which remains any nation's greatest source of unique progress; nly list of incventions tht progressed the humn lot shows te
origin ws intergenrtionl fmily circles 90% of the time
BEYOND NORMALCY
TV Spots and Credit cards also trivialise
and destroy the economics of community participation; and block young people from idolising heroes worth
being aware of if the next generation's greatest goals are to be possible let alone exponentially sustainable, and job
if creation is to flourish (massive new technology is always a battle between peoples using it to create jobs and powers that
be to big brother over job destruction)
danonecommunites works both as virtual portal and as an annual "real"
meeting convener that people come from all round the country to be updated by and participte on mss celebration pursuant of
social business festival; your most useful social network can deepen in one day in paris when the most passionate entrepreneurial
revolutionaries have cross-culturally assembled together than 364 days of twittering
Although Zasheem
has been working 20 years to empower something similar across scotland, a more compact place to get students bussing in ,
and although scotland is the only country (glasgow the only city) with 2 full university prtnerships, and with at least 3
meta-projects for change world:
*reforming laws across europe so microcredit can replicate community rising ,
*nursing colege and the only social business professor of micro health and wealth can spread,
*open sourcing
the course of youth economics which needs to be the core syllabus wherever universities claim to know user-friendly
economics
AFORE YE GO
As yet, @ Glasgow we dont have a meta-hub structure like danone communities;
and one of the university principals is deadly competitive (but we cant bother yunus with an odd local conflict
that causes loss of joy that subliminally youth are smartest at seeing)
SO making list of say
the top 10 dynamics for sustaining youth economics which dnonecommunities connects -both informing on
techinicalites like progress to making a national social business fund or how manufacturing quality in the village
can be digitally processed ; briefing on every social business case invesred worldwide out of paris -as in the
5 hour 2000 investors danonecommunities meeting in the Louvre in april 2010; looking at how tech can connect the global
villages ending previous divides when disatnce was costly to interacting how depth of knowhow flows;
showing that in effect paris has twined with dhaka as world epicentre of collaboration round micro up agricultures
of water and cattle (potentially a catalyst that unwinds whatever EU agripolicies trapped africa in agricultural poverty)
can be
and of course if scotland could replicate france's joy of youthful collaboration in time then British Broadcasters
and Narrowcasters could unite to start making the social networking best out of dr yunus being voted for addressing
congress www.grameeneconomics.org www.grameeneconomics.com www.grameeneconomics.net not the trivial that us mass media will otherwise portray
